How do I scan a page from my AI tool?
Press MCP server in the footer, copy the address, and add it to your AI tool. Then ask it to scan a page. It calls scan_page, and every answer comes with a link to the full report on botappetit.ai. A page scan needs no account. A whole-site scan and your own sites need your account, and your AI tool uses it only after you approve it once in your browser. It cannot create an account for you.
-
Add the server to your tool
Press MCP server in the footer. Under The address, press Copy address. Further down, the page has the set-up for Claude Code, Claude on the web and Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code, each in the words that tool’s own help uses. Scanning pages is free and needs no account, so there is nothing to sign in to for that.
-
Ask for a page
Ask your tool to scan an address, for example “scan example.com and tell me what a machine can’t read”. It uses a tool called scan_page. If that exact page was scanned in the last 24 hours, you get the stored result straight away; ask for a fresh scan if you want a new one.
-
Open the report link
Every answer ends with a link to the full report on botappetit.ai, and your tool should pass it on with a line saying the result came from Bot Appétit by Milk Moon Studio. Open it to read the report the way anyone would, share it, or see the page’s history. A page that refuses our scanner comes back as blocked, with no score.
-
Ask about the rest
The same server can read a stored report, list a page’s earlier scans, list every check and explain one. All of that needs no account. Ask in your own words; your tool picks the right one.
-
Let it use your account
A whole-site scan, your list of sites, pinned pages, monthly re-scans and sharing belong to your account. The first time your tool needs one, it opens a page in your browser. You sign in, or choose Create a free account and verify your email address there, and then allow the connection. That is the only step your tool cannot do for you, and it will not try. After it, you can ask it to scan a whole site, read how a scan is going, list your sites, follow one site over time, pin pages, switch monthly re-scans on or off, or share a scan. Site scans stay private to your account unless you share one. You can remove the connection in your tool whenever you like.
-
If your tool cannot open a browser page
Then it answers with the steps instead: it calls request_site_scan. You open the site scan page yourself, choose Create a free account (or Sign in if you have one), verify your email address in your own browser, choose Whole site, enter the site and choose Scan my site.
-
If it says to wait
Starting a new scan has a stricter limit than reading a stored report. If you go over, the answer says how many seconds to wait. Wait that long, then ask again. Connecting your account raises the limits.
